Peter is great, a tour guide on a different level. I would tell you our itinerary, but that was OUR tour. Peter will plan YOUR (truly custom) tour for you. Peter knows way more London history than you do; in fact he knows more history of "anywhere" than you do. Don't worry about pictures or videos - he'll do that for you (and send you links to everywhere you go with him). He loves his city and you get a special insider's view with him. Worth every penny - cannot recommend highly enough.

We booked two days with Peter and got a week's worth of tour - and a few year's worth of reading material. Each day started at 9AM and ended when we were done. Bring good shoes and make sure you eat a good breakfast as you will be both mentally and physically exhausted at the end of each day. Your brain will be swimming with all the info you've learned and your body will be tired from the adventure. Peter is a (former) boxer and still runs a gym - so you will tire before he does.

Peter divided our tour to a day on the east end and a day on the west end. But that's an oversimplification. I would say our first day was more history of London. We learned of the various commodities that were traded in London and how the city grew as a result. Lunch at the Mayflower Pub - yes "that" Mayflower. It was fascinating so many stories of US history were interconnected with London. Our second day was more about the music (Peter is a Beatles expert along with the plethora of other artists that made musical history in some part of London...so the Beatles, Bowie, Queen, Hendrix, Floyd, Royal Albert Hall etc etc.). What we couldn't see from his black cab, we saw on foot. We recreated scenes from iconic Beatles movies and crossed Abbey road. We saw present and past residences of the greats and ate lunch where Queen wrote "We are the Champions". But, don't worry about we did, Peter will plan your tour specifically for you.

You can do the tourist stuff and wait in lines on your own time. Peter will take you special places that the tourists and crowds avoid. That's the point right - a special experience from a local who knows. Peter gets it right.

Peter took us on a tour that really showed us how the Beatles became the Beatles. This historical tour through rock and roll history was intertwined with other musical geniuses.
