What To Expect

Canterbury Cathedral
Take in everything that the historic city of Canterbury has to offer! including the Cathedral!
Canterbury Cathedral is the Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Cathedral is both a holy place and part of a World Heritage Site, Pilgrims and visitors have made their way to Canterbury Cathedral since the Middle Ages. It remains one of the most visited places in the country, and, just as importantly, a working, living church and community.

Rochester Cathedral
Historic Rochester, with its Norman castle, was a place cherished by the Victorian novelist Charles Dickens.
With history dating back centuries, there is much to see and do. Explore the stunning Rochester Cathedral, founded in 604 and the second oldest in England.
Medway and Rochester in particular, it inspired Dickens so much that he featured it in his work more than any city, other than London. Many of the buildings that featured in the works of Dickens can still be seen today, which we shall see on a walking tour of the city.
These include Restoration House, used in Dickens’ novel ‘Great Expectations’ as the home of Estella and Miss Havisham, and The Six Poor Travellers House, immortalised by the author in a Christmas short story.
The High Street is also packed with quaint, independent shops and a great range of cafes and restaurants. Ideal to take lovely break for coffee and cake!
