Absolutely fantastic! Nicola our tour guide was amazing. She took us to three different wineries that were all great and we had a lovely lunch at an authentic British pub. Highly recommend.

English Sparkling Wine

We had this unique opportunity as a Christmas gift. We found that it enabled us to visit the secret location of the Bluebell Vineyard in the Sussex countryside. We had a delightful afternoon in the sunshine touring this pretty Vineyard with beautiful views over the country side quickly followed by a tasting off their delicious pink and white sparkling Sussex wines.

Wineries and lunch venue were very good. In my opinion trip adviser should not state Name of wineries on their website or at least say that the venues can vary. That way disappointments can be avoided (Bolney is stated as well as Ridgeview, although neither were visited on our date (18 August).

The tour was bought as a present for us and we can highly recommend it. The day is long but very enjoyable, from the blending to the tasting you really do learn alot. The lunch was very good. Overall fantastic day led by Justin and Nicola a big thanks to them.

A Grape Day Out!

There's several things I like in my life... amongst these, are organisation and WINE! Having seen the closure of Vinopolis in London Bridge, I was unsure of where to find a credible 'Wine Tasting' event. Luckily I stumbled on 'English Wine Tasting Tours'. The booking was simple, and it was quickly followed up with pleasant and informative emails from the owner Nicola.

On the day, we were met by Nicola's husband Justin, who was outstanding. I can't go without mentioning Martin, the days tour guide and wine guru....he is quite simply a jewel in the EWTT crown! I was in a party of 3, and part of a wider group of 19. We were on a small coach, not knowing each other and on a 2 hour journey... Martin worked the crowd and the coach and engaged with everyone. He was polite, funny, hugely knowledgeable and quite simply perfect for the day. If you don't know your Lambrusco from your Sancerre, it doesn't matter. This day helps you learn! We went to two Vineyards in Sussex that were excellent. We learnt about English wines and English sparkling wines, and were looked after from the word go. We even had time to incorporate a delightful pub lunch, which was part of the original price.

The group of 19 on the coach consisted of 2 x (slightly) older (slightly) couples, our party of 3 guys for a 36th birthday, a 31st birthday consisting mainly of couples and friends, and a young sommelier and his girlfriend, both of whom work in London's West End...the group was diverse and a clear indication that EWTT and the day is for one and all.

I will 100% return! Brilliant. Thank you to Nicola and Justin!!
