Overview

What could possibly go better together than English wine and English cheese?  Quite simply nothing, they were made for each other!

This wine tour will consist of a tour and tasting at the award winning Chapel Down Vineyard.  Followed by a picnic lunch amongst the vines with of course a glass of Chapel Down wine.

Then we head to Silcocks Farm, who are well known for their delicious cheeses and organic produce which is all made right there on the farm. They will introduce you to the cheese making process and organic farming, and then onto the main event…an English Wine and English Cheese pairing with some of our favourite English Wines and English Cheeses.

You’ll get to sample a selection of some of our favourite English Wine and English cheeses and learn the all important art to pairing food and wine; before having the opportunity to purchase any of the delights we’ve sampled (and more) from the fine food store.

Fantastic English wine Tour!
Jon E, 24-08-2020
Justin picked us up from our hotel and from that moment talked us through his fantastic knowledge. We visited two English vineyards. There was a mix of Fizz, Rose and White!
They were all surprisingly good. Lots to drink, a goody bag, lunch at a local pub, a perfect day!
Awesome day out!

We booked a private vineyards tour for a group of friends with English Wine Tasting Tours

We visited Sedlescombe Organic, Chapel Down, and Woodchurch Estate and had lunch at The William Caxton. The day went from 10am-5pm. We tried 4-6 wines at each place and had a great pub lunch too.

Justin led the tour and was awesome - tonnes of knowledge and super friendly. We also met Nicola his wife who runs the business. They were super flexible throughout the booking process and the tour and even helped to retrieve a lost phone from the train on the day (thank you!)

Will definitely book more tours with this great company in the future
A great day out

After having done just the wine tour by itself a couple of years ago, came back with a group to do the wine and cheese tour.

Justin was a great tour leader - very personable and knowledgeable. The chosen winery - Chapel Down - is well worth a visit. We were looked after really well by Justin and Nicola throughout the day and got to taste some lovely English wines - mostly sparkling.

The second stop of wine and cheese pairing was set in a great little function room overlooking a vineyard. The pairings were well put together to give a treat to the taste buds.

Highly recommended tour, with great hosts and an enjoyable experience.
Perfect day out in the Kent Countryside

My friends and I attended the English Cheese and Wine tasting tour in August 2020. We booked the tour earlier in the year before the Covid-19 outbreak, and luckily we could still attend due to the measures Justin and Nicola put in place. Before the tour Nicola was very efficient via email and telephone, helping to ensure the trip would run successfully with the correct social distancing measures in place. Our transport to the vineyards enabled us to socially distance comfortably. Both Chapel Down and Woodchurch vineyard tours and tastings were great, and I particularly enjoyed the afternoon’s wine and cheese tasting hosted by Nicola and Justin, who have great knowledge of the perfect pairings. Thank you both for going above and beyond to give us a fantastic day out!
Excellent introduction to English wine

We had an excellent day in the wine region in Kent. The day was very educational and we tasted some nice wine. Definitely one for the wine connoisseur and the cheese tasting in the afternoon made the day complete. The pub for lunch was in a beautiful village in rural Kent. The pick up and drop off at London Bridge was very convenient.
