Overview

When you hear about the Tudors, who do you think of?

King Henry VIII? Anne Boleyn? Cardinal Wolsey? (Perhaps even Jonathan Rhys Meyers!)

With these prominent people, came the love, the distrust, the plots, the politics and, of course, the executions. It was their way of life in Tudor times.

I’m John Coupland. As a local tour guide, you will see from my reviews that I have been delivering private tours to castles and historic places in South East England for many guests. Locations have included Hever Castle, (former family home of Anne Boleyn), and Leeds Castle, (one of King Henry VIII’s castles and where his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, used to reside).

I am delighted to share I now deliver private tours to Hampton Court Palace.

This is not just another private tour. This is your Tudor Day: To experience the Tudor way of life at historic Hampton Court Palace and beautiful Hever Castle.

Stop researching… BOOK THIS TOUR!!!

As a lover of all things Tudor, I spent hours researching must see sites for my recent trip to London. After reading 100’s of reviews on whether to visit “Hampton Court Palace vs Hever Castle” I determined I had to see BOTH of these sites. My dilemma remained on how to fit these into a single day. Queue the Full day Tudor Tour with John. I really can’t say enough about John. He is so great at communicating and a real pleasure to work with. He told us that he has done these tours for years and it reflects not only in his knowledge of the sites, but also transportation, timing, and any issues that may arise along the way. He went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. I will not hesitate to book with him again and appreciate all he did to make sure we were happy customers.
A glorious day

Hampton Court Palace is truly beautiful and something not to be missed. Our tour guide John England was very informative and friendly, we never felt rushed. Heaver Castle was a jewel; extremely beautiful and a change of pace from all the other castles we had seen.
Awesome

John’s private tour is amazing! Both castles are worth to visit and he makes the experience to be awesome. He has a big knowledge on history related to the castles.
Wonderful day at Hampton and Hever

Wow! John was very knowledgeable and introduced us to docents to provide even more info. My husband and our co traveler are real English history nuts and ate up all the info provided. John was very considerate of our mobility limitations and worked hard to provide us with easy access. We enjoyed every minute with him , including a wonderful pub dinner. FYI, if you have a handicap placard, bring it with you, as it is accepted in the UK and the EU.
We absolutely would recommend John. You will not regret it.
Excellent Tour Guide!

John was an outstanding guide for this tour with insider knowledge of the palace and castle. John knows the staff and docents and was kind enough to introduce me to each one. I now believe the haunted hall at Hampton Court Palace is really haunted thanks to our conversation with a staffer in that hall who pointed out things I would have missed.
At every point, John was acted in a safe manner: elbow bumps, face mask, hand sanitizer, seat belts, appropriate speed in his vehicle.
Hever Castle was a bucket list visit for me and John helped make it epic.
