What To Expect

The British Museum
Meet your guide and the rest of the small group just outside of the main entrance of the British Museum, and start your exploration of

one of the best-known museums in the world with its impressive collections that include some of the most important pieces ever discovered, such as the Rosetta Stone, the Sutton Hoo Helmet, the Eligin Marbles and many more.

The British Museum is one of the largest museums in the world, covering an area of over 92,000 square meters (990,000 square feet). Because of its size, visitors are very likely to get lost in its many rooms and galleries. This is one more reason why you should join our tour, where our professional guide will lead you to discover the main highlights of the museum in a fun and entertaing way, making sure your kids will be engaged in their learning experience.

In the Egyptian section of the museum, our kid-friendly guide will fascinate you and your children with stories about Ancient Egypt as you discover one of the biggest collections of Ancient Egyptian art in the world, including “Ginger”, the 5400 year-old mummy, and the Rosetta Stone, which helped people get a better understanding of the Ancient Egyptian writing system called hieroglyphics. Only the Egyptian Museum in Cairo has a bigger collection!

In the Greek section you will find out about life in ancient Athens as well as the heroes and heroines of Greek mythology. You will also be able to admire some of the

sculptures from the Parthenon in Athens also known as the ‘Elgin Marbles’ .

In room 41 you will discover the Sutton Hoo Treasures and behold the beautiful objects that were found in this famous ship burial, including jewellery, coins, helmets and more.

This small group tour is a fantastic way to visit the museum in the company of other families with the excellent supervision of a guide with vast experience leading tours with children. The whole family will love it!!
