Enjoy the English countryside in a private minivan with our expert wine tour guides chauffeuring you from vineyard to vineyard. Learn about the English wine industry, our terroir and what makes English wine special! Your tour will travel through old English villages and visit some of the best vineyards in the country with award winning wine.

This tour picks up from The English Grounds in London and drops off from the same location. 10 tastings are included in the package price but you can purchase extended tastings for just £10 per person. Lunch is included in the private tour that consists of a light lunch such served with English wine.

Pick up location is just outside of London Bridge Station at the English Grounds. Near the HMS Belfast and Hays Galleria and in front of Southwark Crown Court.

Woodchurch Vineyard

Planted in 2009, Woodchurch Estate is a small and unique vineyard where we will meet the producer to understand all the hard work that goes into starting a vineyard. Woodchurch specialises in sparkling wine where they have 9 acres of vineyard that produce a classic cuvée, a sparkling rosé, and a delicious blanc de blancs. They have also just released a still chardonnay. You will have a guided wine tasting with the producer and time for purchases.

Chapel Down

Next we make our way through the beautiful English countryside and small villages to the second vineyard, Chapel Down Estate. Chapel Down is nestled in the 15th century shipbuilding port known as the hamlet of Small Hythe were we will explore the vineyard and learn about English viticulture. You'll enjoy a guided tasting at the barrels and experience the full range of Chapel Down English sparkling and still wines. There will be plenty of time to wonder around and browse the wine shop after the tasting.

Balfour Winery

Enjoy the fabulous views and tranquillity of the Hush Heath Estate known for the historic Hush Heath Manor built in 1503. The manor house was built during the reign of King Henry VIII and consists of over 400 acres of woodland and farm ground where they grow apples and grapes for their cider and wine production. At Hush Heath we taste at the bar their range of award winning English Wines. There will be plenty of time to shop and have a look around to take photos and make purchases.

Amazing day!

We had the most incredible time visiting Balfour, Chapel Down and Woodchurch. Nicola helped me adapt the original itinerary I in line with what I wanted to get out of the day and was really accommodating - especially as there were 21 of us celebrating a bday. Everything ran smoothly with a coach picking us up from London Bridge and dropping us back. Recommend and can’t wait to do it again.

What a great day out! We all had a brilliant trip out with Justin to three wineries. The tour was really well organised, very relaxed, and Justin was a great guide, very funny and informative. Even those in the group who weren't big wine drinkers had a great day!

Beautiful day in the countryside

We had the pleasure of being the first tour after lockdown. Justin and Nicola were very adaptable in navigating the new government guidelines whilst still delivering a wonderful experience letting you almost forget about COVID-19. We were a group of expat couples looking to explore the countryside and taste some good English wines. A number of us have been on other wine tours and tastings and this one still surprised us. We learned about Biodynamic wines at Sedlescombe, while a bit “out there” in methodology it was interesting to see how green & sustainable the process could be. The owners of Oastbrook were some of the most welcoming and larger than life people I’ve ever met. The winemaker, America, and her husband have grand plans for the space and are already producing with quality. Finally, we stopped at Woodchurch and admired the beautiful vineyard, nice terrace and sampled delicious wine from another small producer. On the day we had 11 tastings and a full glass of wine with our lunch. Overall we felt satisfied with the value.
