Overview

This is a wonderful opportunity to see a different side of London. Some of the most famous sights of London are best seen from the South Bank of the River Thames. As well as having the opportunity to follow the Queen's Walk along the banks of the river you will be able to take some great pictures of these landmarks and hear all about life on the river and London's history as a port. The tour ends at Borough Market, London's premier foodie market where you will be able to try some delicious and unusual treats!

You start your tour near the Palace of Westminster and 'Big Ben'. Your guide will tell you about the British Parliament and Government before leading you across Westminster Bridge, where you will get a wonderful view of the Houses of Parliament.

As you walk along the South Bank of the River Thames along the Queen's Walk your guide will entertain you with stories of the River Thames and the fascinating buildings you will pass on both sides of the river. You pass by Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market (where you will return later) on the way to Hays Galleria, a converted shipping wharf which is now a restaurant and shopping complex. From here you can get some excellent views of London's famous Tower Bridge and the museum ship, HMS Belfast.
